Becoming a man and father is both an honour and a burden. As head of the household, you will need to both lead your spouse and family, and also sacrifice for them first. You begin to walk into this position as you make the little decisions that steer your life to its destination.
From the car you buy, the wife you marry, the way you obey Jesus and steward your life, they will show whether you live for self, or for God, the Highest authority.
Joshua 24:15 and Joshua 1:9 has been a personal anthem for me. Each day we make the choice to serve the Lord, and your family will feel the consequences of your choice. I want this for me, you, and those closest to me. My love for my brother inspired this song since his name is also Joshua, and I want the same for him first.
Manhood is also something to be bragged on. Again it is an honour, and one to be worn with pride so long as you are trusting the LORD, I'm going to grab onto this life because my life and those around me depend on it. I side with the Most High!
